Keira Knightley admits that she learnt a lot from co-star Steve Carell about comedy when filming their new movie.
Knightley teams up with the funny man in Lorene Scafaria's directorial debut Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World.
And the actress admits that she has not done many comedy projects in her career and it was great to get the opportunity to be able to watch Carell at work.
Speaking to The Press Association the actress said: "I've done a lot of tragedy, a lot of drama, I haven't done a lot of comedy.
"And watching him, and his timing, and his physical comedy is amazing."
"Particularly in this, where he's playing this character who's quite dark, and quite down - it's not wacky broad comedy, it's very subtle, and he's wonderful at finding those comic moments even in the most tragic ones."
Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World is the first movie outing for Knightley since A Dangerous Method at the beginning of the year.
She will also be back on the big screen in September as she takes on the title role in Joe Wright's big screen adaptation of Anna Karenina.
Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World is released 13th July.
