Keira Knightley has admitted that she enjoyed working with director David Cronenberg, calling him very supportive.
The actress stars alongside Viggo Mortensen and Michael Fassbender in A Dangerous Method and despite the difficult subject matter Knightley enjoyed shooting the movie.
New York Magazine the actress said: "It's really bizarre, because the actual process of making the movie was the opposite of what you might think.
"David Cronenberg is one of the loveliest, most interesting, most supportive men ever - as are Viggo and Michael - so I felt incredibly lucky to be with them, because it is quite harrowing subject matter.
"With other people, you could be in a nasty situation where it's quite gruelling, whereas this honestly was one of the most fun experiences I've had making a film."
The movie has been met well on festival circuit during the autumn and will hit the big screen in the new year.
And 2012 is set to be a busy year for the actress as she is already completed work in Seeking a Friend for the End of the World and lent her voice to Neverland.
She is currently filming Anna Karenina, a movie that reunites her with filmmaker Joe Wright.
A Dangerous Method is released 10th February.
