Diesel To Return In The Fast And The Furious 4, and Efron To Star In Footloose RemakeThe long-awaited sequel to the Bill and Ted movies is set to go into production this year (07) - without the franchise's original stars Keanu Reeves or Alex Winter.Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, a film about time-travelling teens, propelled Reeves and Winter to fame in 1989, and was followed two years later by Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey.The Los Angeles Times reports MGM Studios and 360 Pictures have teamed up with horror producer Frank Mancuso Jr. to produce the third movie.The Times reports both Winter and Reeves were interested in reprising their roles, but the latter's agent suggested it could ruin the Matrix star's career.
Diesel To Return In The Fast And The Furious 4?
Hollywood action man Vin Diesel is reportedly set to return to the The Fast And The Furious franchise in the fourth installment of the hit street racing series.The XXX star is currently in talks to reprise his role as Dominic Toretto in The Fast and the Furious 4, following his brief appearance in 2006's The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, according to Moviehole.net.Diesel has allegedly been in contact with reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel about appearing in the sequel, leading to reports he has signed on as a producer for the franchise.
Efron To Star In Footloose Remake?
Hairspray heart-throb Zac Efron is set to step into Kevin Bacon's dancing shoes for a remake of eighties classic Footloose.Efron is reuniting with High School Musical director Kenny Ortega to play streetwise teen Ren McCormack, Moviehole reports.
The remake is likely to be expanded from a dance movie to a full blown musical.
While Bacon was in his mid-20s playing McCormack, at 19 Efron is the perfect age.
