Dame Judi Dench shares Bond fans' frustration over Quantum Of Solace - because she struggled to follow the plot too.

Daniel Craig's second outing as the suave superspy, the follow-up to 2006's Casino Royale, baffled many cinemagoers with its speedy direction, fast-paced action scenes and intricate storyline.

And Dench, who plays 007's demanding boss M in the movie, sympathises with viewers - she found it hard to keep up with as well.

She tells Britain's The Times Magazine, "Yes, I know, it was hard, wasn't it? I didn't have a clue what was going on. I just did my bit, as I was told.

"I should know though, shouldn't I, being all-knowing, all-seeing M."

The actress also revealed that she was left unimpressed when she was made a Dame - confessing she "hates" the regal title.

Dench was made a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire - the female equivalent of a Knighthood - in 1988.

But she is less-than-grateful with the title bestowed on her - insisting it makes her feel like a "teapot" that should be put in storage.

"I just don't like the title! I really don't like it at all. It's a discarded, put-away thing. Like one of those things you're given and you think, 'What the hell am I going to do with this?'

"You make yourself sound like a teapot, put away in a cupboard, behind a piece of glass. No, I hate that."
