Josh Lucas is trying to ban family and friends from seeing his new movie - because it's too dark, and he bears his butt a little too much.
The Sweet Home Alabama star admits he has played down his work on new movie Death in Love, in which he plays a sick misogynist who treats women terribly, and he hopes those close to him give the film a miss at the box office.
He says, "Not many people in my life have seen this movie yet. There have been very few screenings...
"I think everyone is aware that I have done something that is artistically extremely risky and balls out!
"I think they also know it was an experiment to see how free and fearless I could be."
And after such a dark role, Lucas is now on the search for a comedy: "I'm really glad I did this, but I would really love to do another Sweet Home Alabama now!"
But 2009 looks set to be a nusy year for the actor as Tell-Tale, Stolen Lives and Peacock are all due for release this year.
