Josh Brolin has revealed that there is no Goonies 2 in the pipeline.
I hear there is a script, yes, but there's no talk about doing a 'Goonies' sequel at this very moment.
The Oscar nominated actor starred in the 1985 movie alongside Sean Astin and Corey Feldman and it has gone to gain a cult status over the years.
There have been talks of a sequel for quite some time but Bolin has shot down those rumours.
He told Extra: "I saw [the film's producer] Steven Spielberg on the street about a month and a half ago, and I asked the reality.
"I hear there is a script, yes, but there's no talk about doing a 'Goonies' sequel at this very moment.
"And that's the first time I've been truthful about that answer... ever."
2010 has already been a busy year for the actor as he makes his first big screen appearance of the year this summer with an adaptation of DC Comic character Jonah Hex.
He is set to team up with Woody Allen for You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger before Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, which sees him work with Michael Douglas, Shia LaBeouf and Carey Mulligan, finally gets it's release in September.
Last month it was announced that he will also be starring in Men in Black III.
