Joseph Gordon Levitt has been injured on the set of his new movie Premium Rush.
The actor cut his arm falling through a taxi window whist shooting on location in New York, the cut required thirty one stitches.
The actor wrote on his blog: "My first real wreck today - busted through the rear window of a cab. Luckily got my elbows up. Could have been way worse. No, but it was my fault, I was going too fast.
"The director, Dave Koepp, was extremely concerned for my well-being, but I made him record the wound.
"Anyway, Premium Rush is gonna be awesome. Gratuitous ER footage to follow, stay tuned..."
Directed by David Koepp, premium Rush see Levitt take on the role of a bike messenger who finds himself being pursued by a dirty cop after picking up a package from Columbia University.
Levitt is still top of the U.S. box office with his latest movie Inception, which sees him team up with filmmaker Christopher Nolan and actor Leonardo DiCaprio.
The actor has already completed work on Live with It and has been linked to projects Looper and The Frog King.
