Jonah Hill as revealed that directing is his main career goal.
The actor is currently enjoying success in front of the camera and admits that he's not in too much of a rush to make the switch to the director's chair.
He teams up with Russell Brand in Get Him To The Greek This Summer, which is second movie of the year after lending his voice to the box office smash How To Train Your Dragon.
Chatting to iesb.net Hill said: "I've directed short films. Directing is my main goal. I just know, as an actor, that's in the spotlight, and the first film I do direct will be judged extra harshly by critics and fans, so I'm very thoughtful and meticulous about these decisions and don't want to rush into it.
"I don't want to talk about what it's going to be or what I'd like it to be until it's more crystallized. You have to go with the flow of what they're going to be releasing, with or without you.
"As a director, I'd rather be someone who makes the material good, no matter what I'm doing, and not worry about whether it's a remake, or if it's something bigger or smaller. Whatever you're doing, you just have to put your original voice into that.
And it looks like Hill won't be taking up directing any time soon with Megamind, Money Ball, 21 Jump Street and The Adventurer's Handbook all in the pipeline.
