Johnny English Reborn has toppled Tiner, Tailor, Soldier, Spy for the top of the UK box office and held off the challenge from The Lion King 3D.
Rowan Atkinson returns to the title role eight years after he first played the part as Oliver Parker directs the movie.
The movie took £4.9 million in it's opening weekend to claim the #1 spot and hold off a spirited challenge from the Disney classic.
Given a 3D makeover The Lion King returned to UK cinema screens, after going down a storm in the States, but had to settle for second.
Tinker, Tailor, Solider, Spy slipped two places to number three while Abduction was also down two at number four.
Don't Be Afraid of the Dark rounded off the top five as the Guillermo del Toro produced movie was another new entry.
Midnight In Paris marks the return to the director's chair for Woody Allen and his new movie was the fourth and final new entry inside the top ten this week as it opened at six.
Crazy, Stupid, Love was down three places at seven while Drive, the second Ryan Gosling project inside the top ten this week, was a none mover at eight.
The Inbetweeners fell two places while The Debt was this week's biggest faller as it dropped five places to ten.
