The Rum Diary
Johnny Depp has enjoyed huge box office success already this year with Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides - his third movie to break $1 billion at the global box office.
He leaves the high seas later this year for his new movie The Rum Diary, which is directed by Bruce Robinson; the man behind Withnail & I.
The movie is an adaptation of Hunter S.Thompson's debut novel and sees Depp take on the central role of Paul Kemp.
Depp is joined by a great cast in the movie as Amber Heard, Aaron Eckhart, Giovanni Ribisi, Michael Rispoli and Richard Jenkins all star.
Paul Kemp is a freelance journalist who finds himself at a critical turning point in his life while writing for a run-down newspaper in the Caribbean
Soon after arriving in San Juan, he manages to land a job at the 'Daily News', an English-language rag whose staff, an assortment of has-beens, mad geniuses, drunks, and spongers, would seem more at home in the Foreign Legion.
Paul is challenged on many levels as he tries to carve out a more secure niche for himself amidst a group of lost souls all bent on self-destruction.
