Johnny Depp

Johnny Depp was so desperate to work with Tim Burton again he has revealed he would have happily played Alice in their new movie.

The actor leads an all star cast in Tim Burton's re-telling of classic story Alice In Wonderland, thankfully in the role as the Mad Hatter.

In an interview with Parade the actor said: "To be honest, he could have asked me to play Alice and I would have said yes - I would have done whatever character he wanted.

Alice In Wonderland is the seventh collaboration between the pair and the Mad Hatter is just another off the wall character that Depp has become so famous for taking on.

"The fact that it was the Mad Hatter was a bonus because it was a great challenge," he continued.

"There is some kind of connection, some sort of understanding that Tim and I have that is at most times unspoken. I do feel a certain amount of pressure like, 'Will this be the film where I disappoint him?'

"I try really hard just to come up with something that's very different and we haven't experienced together before."

Alice In Wonderland is out now.
