Johnny Depp has admitted his love for character Jack Sparrow and has discussed his return in a fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
The actor's career was reignited when he took on the role of Sparrow back in 2003, going on to reprise the role in two further films.
Speaking at a press conference Depp spoke about his decision to return to the role: "I love the character so much and I enjoy playing the character so much and people seem to like it, [so] if there's an opportunity to try again..."
"It's like going up to bat. You want to get back out there and try and try and try and see what you can do. I enjoy playing Captain Jack very much."
While it was originally believed that filmmaker Gore Verbinski would not be returning to helm the fourth movie it is now rumoured that he has had a change of heart and could return to the franchise.
At the moment Depp is promoting his gangster film Public Enemies, which sees the actor take on the role of notorious bank robber John Dillinger.
There are already whispers of an Oscar for Depp, despite the movie not yet being in cinemas.
Public Enemies is released 3rd July.
