Johnny Depp has revealed that he has been left ‘floored’ by receiving two Golden Globe nominations.
One nomination would of course be a great honour, but two is simply astonishing.
Depp finds himself with two nominations in the Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy for his performances in The Tourist and Alice In Wonderland.
In a statement to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association the actor said: "One nomination would of course be a great honour, but two is simply astonishing.
"I am floored, truly, by the HFPA's kindness and generosity. I wish to thank them dearly, as well as all those many wonderful souls who made the films in question possible.
“My deepest gratitude and respect goes out to you all."
Depp led the cast in Alice In Wonderland earlier this year and it became his second movie to break $1 billion at the box office.
He has joined forced with Angelina Jolie, who also picked up a Golden Globe nod, for new movie The Tourist.
And he will be back on the big screen in the new year as he lends his voice to movie Rango and he will reprise the character of Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides this summer.
