John Travolta has revealed that performing the stunts was the most challenging part of filming his latest movie From Paris With Love.
The action movie sees Travolta take on the role of American spy Charlie Wax and the actor found himself dodging bombs and bullets in his elaborate stunt work.
Speaking to the Press Association the actor said: "The idea that Pierre thought I could do this sort of thing at my age, it was a challenge - I thought if they really believe I can go upside down and shoot through a hole, and jump over rooftops, and beat up a gang and do it myself, I'm not going to disappoint them... and I did it, I did probably 95 per cent of my stunts.
"The script had the most advanced stunts I've ever read, I'd never done this kind of thing at this level.
"I like the movement and the different mindset. You use your body in a different way in an action movie and as long as it's well written and it's well directed, I love it."
The movie is directed by Pierre Morel and sees Travolta join forces with British actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
From Paris With Love is out now.
