Joel Edgerton has admitted that the training that he did for new movie Warrior made him 'feel good'.
The actor teams up with Tom Hardy for Warrior - a movie that sees two brother go head to head in a mixed martial arts competition.
And Edgerton had to train hard for the role of Brendan Conlon but says that he enjoyed the feeling of being healthy.
Speaking to The Press Association the actor said: "To feel that strong and that capable and to learn those skills, it does have an effect mentally.
"It makes you feel good in one word - I felt good, I felt healthy and I felt strong.
Warrior is the first time that we have seen Edgerton on the big screen since Animal Kingdom but he will be back later this year with The Thing.
He has also completed work on The Odd Life of Timothy Green and Wish You Were Here and is currently filming The Great Gatsby.
