Jessica Chastain says that she loved the aggressive nature of her role in Lawless.
The Oscar nominated actress is set to play Maggie in the movie who strikes up a relationship with Tom Hardy's character Forrest Bondurant.
And the actress reveals that Maggie is not a weak character and very much the dominant force in that relationship.
Speaking to the Press Association the actress said: "I really got the relationship between Forrest and Maggie, because she becomes the aggressor in it, she takes the aggressive power position'
"She's used to men preying upon her, she's used to that kind of relationship with men, and when she meets Forrest he really sits back and doesn't know how to handle Maggie."
"She's not the weak one sitting back and waiting for him to choose her, she actually chooses him, and chooses her life."
