Jennifer Lawrence has revealed that she was worried about taking on the role of Mystique un X-Men: First Class.
It's a first blockbuster role for the Winter's Bone actress as she takes over the role from Rebecca Romijin.
Speaking to MTV News the actress said: "It would have made my job a lot easier if [Romijin] wasn't the most gorgeous person in the world.
"It's good because you can take physical traits, but it's an origin story, so it's before she became who she is."
And Lawrence admits that it is the size of the project and the popularity of the three previous movies that made her nervous about taking on the part.
"Because it is huge. But the movies are fantastic. I loved the script and the character."
Winter's Bone proved to be the breakthrough performance for Lawrence - going on to pick up an Oscar nomination for her performance.
She is also set to take on the tole of Katniss Everdeen in the big screen adaptation of The Hunger Games
