Jennifer Aniston has revealed that the economic crisis is being felt in Hollywood.

The ex Friends actress was speaking in the UK press conference for her new movie Marley and Me, which she stars alongside Owen Wilson, and claimed that even tinsel town has not avoided the credit crunch.

"They're not making as many movies. At film festivals, studios that would be buying six or eight movies are now buying two.

"It's really a lot harder for independent films especially. It's the same thing with jobs - studio positions are being dropped, they're all cutting back."

Marley and me follows Marley, a yellow Labrador that Grogan, a journalist, adopts with his wife in order to give them an idea of how they might be as parents.

However, the dog is hyperactive and causes chaos wreaking havoc both at home and at the obedience school.

Matter get worse when they finally have some kids but the dog becomes an important part of their family unit.

"To see a real portrayal of marriage was very refreshing. It's such an accessible story and people were ready for that. They wanted to laugh really hard or cry really hard and just feel something," the actress said.

Marley and Me is released in the UK 11 March
