Jena Malone has called her new movie Sucker Punch as the most amazing project that she has ever worked on.
The actress is back on the big screen later this year with the latest movie from filmmaker Zack Snyder.
Sucker Punch sees her take on an action role which saw her undergo a huge training programme on the run up to filming.
Speaking to Nylon Magazine the actress said: "It's the most amazing film I've ever had the chance to work on.
"I've never been asked to do so much before. Not only do I get to play a deep character, but also multiple different characters."
"I had to learn pole dancing and train with Navy Seals for eight months. Nobody in the world had ever taken a look at me and said, 'I believe Jena can fight 40 men and win'. But they instilled this belief in me!"
Sucker Punch is the first live action movie for director Snyder since Watchmen, but he did direct animation film Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole last year.
Malone stars alongside Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Vanessa Hudgens, Jamie Chung and Carla Guqino.
Sucker Punch is released 1st April.
