Jeff Bridges has described his Best actor Oscar nomination as a 'thrill'.
The actor has picked up a Best Actor nod for the second consecutive year, winning twelve months ago for his turn in Crazy Heart, for his role in True Grit.
The movie sees Joel and Ethan Coen return to the director's chair for the remake of the John Wayne movie.
Speaking to Movieline the actor said: "Well, it's always kind of a thrill and a surprise and very exciting, so that remains the same," he said.
"Every time I walk down one of those red carpets, you think I'd be used to it after all these years, but it's like it's happening for the first time."
"It's always kind of a wonderful assault of sorts."
And while Bridges is excited to bag yet another nomination the actor doesn't expect to walk away with the prize this year.
"Once is plenty. None would be enough, too; I'm not one of those guys chomping at the bit to get an award."
We have seen plenty of Bridges on the big screen in recent months after he returned to the character of Kevin Flynn for Tron: Legacy.
He has completed work on Pablo.
True Grit is released 11th February.
