Javier Bardem For Glee Cameo
Javier Bardem has signed up for a cameo role in hit U.S. TV show Glee.
The No Country for Old Men star, who is dating Penelope Cruz, has confirmed he will play a rocker who befriends Kevin McHale's character Artie Abrams in an upcoming episode of the programme.
Bardem tells Entertainment Weekly, "We're going to rock the house! We're going to do some heavy metal - Spanish heavy metal, which is the worst."
The news comes as Katie Holmes' representative dismissed reports the actress is set to join the cast, branding the rumours "not true".
Other celebrities who have already made guest appearances include Olivia Newton-John, Eve, Josh Groban and Neil Patrick Harris.
bardem was last seen on the big screen in Woody Allen's Vicky Cristina Barcelona but gained good reveiws from the Venice Film Festival for his performance in Alejandro González Iñárritu's latest movie Biutiful.
He will team up with Julia Roberts later this year for Eat Pray Love and he has been linked to The Galapagos Affair.
