Jason Momoa has revealed that he suffered for his art with new movie Conan The Barbarian.
The actor takes on the title role in the action blockbuster - as the franchise is rebooted for the first time since the mid eighties.
And the actor admits that he picked up an injury on the very first day of filming.
Speaking to The Press Association the actor said: "He bucked me off and I broke a rib. That sucked. I almost died a couple of times on the horse.
"Basically, anything on the horse [resulted in injury], he was an evil one,"
And while the actor loved doing his own stunts it was difficult to cope with the injuries that he picked up.
"You do that many stunts, you are constantly bleeding somewhere on your body."
Momoa has also found TV success this year with hit adaptation Game of Thrones. He has already completed Bullet To The Head, in which he stars alongside Sylvester Stallone.
Conan The Barbarian is out now.
