Fonda So Proud Of Paraplegic Sex Scene....

Jane Fonda became a paraplegic sex poster girl after her character fell hard for a disabled Jon Voight in 1978 film Coming Home.Fonda admits she was reluctant to film a sex scene with Voight's character - until she met the able-bodied girlfriend of a real-life paraplegic, and learned some disabled men could "keep it up" for hours.The sex talk helped the actress get comfortable for the controversial scene - and turned her into a heroine for paraplegics everywhere upon the movie's release.She recalls, "One day we were sitting on the grass with all these guys in wheelchairs - the real guys who spent a lot of time with us on the set - and there was this really cute guy in his wheelchair and he had a really cute girlfriend and she'd flip him over and sit on his back."It was clear they had a real thing going. And so I talked to her because we had the sex scene coming up and I asked, `What do you do when your boyfriend is paralysed from the waist down?' "She said, `You never know when it's gonna happen, you could be driving past a gas station, and he'll get an erection that will last for four hours.'" The candid sex chat gave Fonda the confidence she needed for the sex scene, which, in turn, helped paraplegics in the bedroom.She chuckles, "When the movie came out Ron Kovic, the paraplegic Tom Cruise played in Born On The Fourth of July, said, 'Thanks Jane, my sex life has gotten so much better!'"
