Jamie Foxx says that he has his fingers crossed that he lands a role in Spider Man because his young daughter would love it.
The Oscar winner is in talks for the role of villain Electro in the second of the rebooted Spider Man movies - which would see Andrew Garfield return to the role of Peter Parker.
However nothing about the role has been made official yet and Foxx is hoping that everything goes his way.
Speaking to Access Hollywood the actor said: "I have a little daughter, four years old, and what's crazy is like, this past year she had a birthday where Spider-Man was the theme.
"Fingers crossed [that] it all works out."
And we are going to be seeing Foxx back on the big screen in the new year as he leads the cast in Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained.
The movie may not have hit the big screen yet being it is being tipped for a possible Oscar nomination.
