James Cameron has revealed that he likes to blow his film audiences away with the work that he produces.
The Titanic filmmaker is returning to directing after a four year hiatus, his last movie being Aliens of the Deep back in 2005, with Avatar.
And this movie, which is in 3D, looks like it really is going to wow audiences when it's released near Christmas.
In an interview with The Times the director said: "I like to blow an audience away. I like to f**k with their heads. I like to show 'em stuff they've probably seen in a dream but they've never seen in a movie.
"Like they've had an experience outside their day-to-day life, outside this world, maybe outside their body.
"It will have been a visual journey, a physical journey - in the sense you feel like you've actually climbed that mountain - and an emotional journey."
Set in the future, Jake, a paraplegic war veteran, is brought to another planet, Pandora, which is inhabited by the Na'vi, a humanoid race with their own language and culture. Those from Earth find themselves at odds with each other and the local culture
Avatar is released 17th December.
