James Cameron has revealed that he may shoot two Avartar sequels back to back.
There have been talks of a sequel ever since Avatar hit the big screen at the end of last year, going on to become the biggest grossing movie of all time.
And Cameron has admitted that he has already begun thinking about plotlines and where he is going to take the story.
Speaking to MTV the filmmaker said: Avatar 2... we're still working on deals. We don't start the movie until we get the deals worked out. I'm making notes. I'm not sitting idle."
And while no decisions on how the movies will be shot Cameron admits that he is considering shooting back to back: "We're actually talking about that. That's not a decision yet.
"That is something that makes a lot of sense, given the nature of these productions, because we can bank all the [motion] capture and then go back and do cameras over a period of time."
Avatar took over $2.7 million at the global box office as well as being a critical smash. The movie went on to be nominated for a Best Picture Oscar but missed out to The Hurt Locker.
