Jake Gyllenhaal loved the adrenaline rushes that he got whilst filming his new movie Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
The latest blockbuster from Jerry Bruckheimer hits the big screen next week and sees Gyllenhaal take on the central role of Dastan.
But when it came down to doing the physical stuff you didn't really think about it because there was so much adrenaline going on
Prince of Persia is the first time that Gyllenhaal has taken on a blockbuster project and he admits he had lots of fun on the shoot.
He told Bang Showbiz: "This is and was while we were shooting it and continues to be for audiences all around the world such a huge, epic film that is...
"I've said this before but walking on to the set was like going to a sporting event. You felt like you were on the team.
"It took 40 minutes to put on your costume, at least it did for me, there were thousands of people there.
"But when it came down to doing the physical stuff you didn't really think about it because there was so much adrenaline going on.
"For me, I was just excited all the time when I had to beat somebody up or jump off anything. It was just so much fun. And in that way I guess, different, from other films that I've done."
And it's a busy year for the actor after Prince of Persia with Nailed, Love and Other Drugs and Source Code, which is directed by Moon filmmaker Duncan Jones, all in the pipeline.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is released 21st May.
