Jake Gyllenhaal says he is not dreaming of wearing a superhero cape.
The actor has been linked to the likes of Spider Man and Batman over the years but right now the Oscar nominated actor says that he just wants to concentrate on improving.
And while he may not be dreaming of stepping into a superhero role he certainly hasn't ruled it out.
Speaking to Shortlist the actor said: "At a certain point you realise there's always someone more interesting, talented and ready to do a role than you are - and you won't get every role you go for.
"All I want right now is to hone my skills and become a better actor, not dream about wearing a cape. But you never know."
Gyllenhaal is back on the big screen this week with his gritty cop drama End of Watch - which sees him team up with director David Ayer.
It will be the first time that we have seen the actor on the big screen since Source Code and the movie has been going down well with the critics.
And we will be seeing plenty of him next year as he has already completed work on An Enemy and Nailed.
End of Watch is out now.
