Jake Gyllenhaal says that it is 'flattering' to be considered for the role of Christian Grey in The Fifty Shades of Grey - admitting that he would consider it.
Gyllenhaal is just one of a whole host of actors who have been suggested to play the lead role in the big screen adaptation of the popular novel.
Speaking to Ryan Seacreast on KISS-FM radio show the actor said: "That's super flattering.
"I mean, I have not heard that, but if that's true then that's a nice thing. It's always nice to be considered."
When asked if he would consider taking on such a role the Oscar nominated actor said: "Yeah, of course! I always want to work, man, of course."
The likes of Ian Somerhalder, Matt Bomer and Alexander Skarsgård have all been tipped for the role while the likes of Kristen Stewart and Ashley Greene have been suggested for the part of Anastasia Steele.
Gyllenhaal has not been seen on the big screen since Source Code but he is set to make his return with End of Watch.
He has also completed work on Nailed and An Enemy.
