J.J. Abrams has described working with Steven Spielberg as a 'dream'.
The two filmmakers join forces for Abrams' new movie Super 8 - on which Spielberg serves as producer.
This is the first movie project for Abrams since he re-booted the Star Trek franchise back in 2009 - although he did produce Morning Glory.
Speaking to Hollywood Reporter the filmmaker said: "Working with Steven Spielberg was a dream, and I was kind of nervous about it because he was like a hero of mine since I was a kid.
"I can only say that it was surreal and wonderful and a real privilege."
Super 8 has been another Abrams movie surrounded in secrecy - leading to theory and speculation as the release date got closer.
And that tactic seemed to work as the film has toppled X-Men: First Class from the top of the U.S. box office.
Super 8 is released 5th August.
