Inglourious Basterds

Inglourious Basterds has become Quentin Tarantino's highest grossing film ever.

The war movie, starring Brad Pitt, has surpassed Pulp Fiction at the box office, grossing over $108 million (GBP72 million) in North America alone since its release in August (09).

Movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, the film's producer, tells WENN, "We have been Quentin’s biggest fans since the beginning.

"It was extremely gratifying to see Inglourious Basterds put up such huge numbers. It is a kick-ass film from a director who always keeps me and audiences on their toes."

At the global box office the movie has so far grossed over $226 million opening at number one in both the U.S. and the UK.

Pulp Fiction was the filmmaker's most successful movie to date it brought Tarantio to prominence in 1994.

Pulp Fiction took cinema by storm as it became the first indie picture to break the $100 million barrier.
