Hugh Jackman has confirmed that he has been in talks to reprise the role of Wolverine in X-Men: Days of Future Past.
It was rumoured last week that Jackman was in negotiations to appear in the new X-Men movie, which is a follow up to X-Men: First Class.
Bryan Singer is back in the director's chair after directing X-Men and X2 and Jackman is glad that the filmmaker has returned to the franchise.
Speaking to Access Hollywood the actor said: "There is an X-Men: First Class sequel which Bryan Singer is directing... which I think is awesome.
"It started with Bryan and I know the fans are super-excited.
"I did a three-hour, three-word cameo in the last one - literally it took me three hours... I have been talking to Bryan about doing something in [X-Men: Days of Future Past]."
We will be seeing Jackman as Wolverine next summer as he second standalone movie The Wolverine will hit the big screen.
But before that he will play Jean Valjean in Les Miserables - a movie that is gaining a lot or Oscar momentum.
Filming on X-Men: Days of Future Past is expected to get underway next year.
