Hugh Jackman admits that he was self-conscious when he sung his first number on the set of Les Miserables.
The actor takes on the role of Jean Valjean in the big screen adaptation of the hit musical while Tom Hooper is in the director's chair.
And Jackman may be a Broadway regular but that doesn't mean that he went into that first performance with confidence.
Speaking to The Press Association the actor said: "I suppose it was a bit like doing a nude scene. When you take your clothes off, everybody is self-conscious, but within an hour... It's nothing.
"I definitely felt more and more comfortable as we went. I think everybody did. It would become normal. Everyone was singing. Even the crew was singing!"
Jackman will star alongside Anne Hathaway and Russell Crowe in the movie - which is already being tipped as a possible Oscar contender.
As for Jackman we will be seeing plenty of his next year as he is set to appear in Movie 43 as well as The Wolverine next summer.
Les Miserables is released 11th January 2013.
