Hugh Dancy is returning to Broadway in a new production of Venus In Fur.
The British actor will portray a Victorian playwright in the David Ives work, about an aspiring actress' kinky audition for a play based on an erotic novel.
The production will open for a limited period from 13 October (11) to 18 December (11) at New York's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre.
Dancy, who is married to actress Claire Danes, made his Broadway debut in 2008's Journey's End.
2011 has seen the actor mix and match his acting roles as he has moved from movies such as Our Idiot Brother and Martha Marcy May Marlene to TV series The Big C.
But as well as a stint on Broadway the actor has plenty of movies on the horizon. He has already completed work on Hysteria, which also stars Felicity Jones and Maggie Gyllenhall, and Dorothy of Oz, in which Lea Michele, Patrick Stewart and Dan Aykroyd have also lent their voices.
Spree will be his next project and it will be directed by Tommy O'Haver.
