Hot Tub Time Machine

Hot Tub Time Machine has just edged out Date Night to take the top spot at the Australian box office.

John Cusack's latest movie took 1.27 million over the weekend to narrowly deny Date Night the number one spot after the comedy grossed £1.26 million.

Directed by Steve Pink, Hot Tub Time machine follows four guy friends, all of them bored with their adult lives, travel back to their respective 80s heydays thanks to a time-bending hot tub.

Clash of the Titans, which has now taken over $385 million at the global box office, held onto the number three spot.

Last week's number one How To train Your Dragon fell three places to number four while Denzel Washington's The Book of Eli dropped one place to round off the top five.

When In Rome, which stars Josh Duhamel and Kristen Bell, was the only other new entry inside this week's top ten.

Kick Ass fell two places from five to seven, while there were also two place drops for The Last Song and Alice In Wonderland who finished the week at nine and ten.

But beneath Hill 60 climbed one place to this week's number eight.
