Hop

Hop

Hop has remained at the top of the U.S. box office - holding off competition from new comedy movie Arthur.

This means that funnyman Russell Brand holds the top two spots as he lends his voice to the character of the Easter Bunny as well as taking on the title character in Arthur.

Hop took $21.7 million in it's second week to remain untroubled in the number one spot as Arthur was a distant second with $12.6 million.

A remake of the Dudley Moore classic the movie follows a drunken playboy stands to lose a wealthy inheritance when he falls for a woman his family doesn't like.

Directed by Jason Winer the movie also stars Oscar winner Helen Mirren, Jennifer Garner and Greta Gerwig.

Hanna, which marks the return of Joe Wright to the director's chair for the first time since The Soloist, was a new entry at three while Soul Surfer was new at four.

Insidious dropped two places from three to five and Your Highness, which stars Danny McBride, James Franco and Natalie Portman, was the final new entry at six.

Source Code was one of this week's biggest fallers as it dropped five places from two to seven. Limitless was also down from five to eight.
