Hilary Swank and Sam Rockwell have revealed that they had instant chemistry.
The pair star together in new movie Conviction, which tells the real-life story of Betty Anne Waters; who put herself through law school so she could represent her brother who was wrongfully convicted of murder.
And while Swank and Rockwell are two of the biggest names in Hollywood the pair had never met until they signed up for this movie.
Speaking to MTV they said: "We met for the first time the day we met Betty Anne Waters," Swank said.
"Yeah, but we hit it off right away," Rockwell added. "We did [rehearse] but in a very casual way, for about a week. We met in Bristol with the real Betty Anne and her relatives; had some delicious beer in Bristol."
"We bonded there," Swank said. "But I've been a fan of Sam's forever. You oftentimes meet other actors in the small circle of this business, but we never met before."
Conviction is directed by Tony Goldwyn, who brought us The Last Kiss, and also stars Minnie Driver and Melissa Leo.
