Henry Cavill has revealed that he is grateful to the support that has come his way since he was announced as the new Superman.
The actor has taken over the role of Clark Kent from Brendan Routh and is currently filming the Zack Snyder directed movie.
And the actor has thanked everyone for their kind words of support.
Speaking to MTV News the actor said: "I think the best part has been recently when people have sort of seen all the work that has gone into it.
"I think I won a lot of people over, and I felt the support really come behind me, which is a really good feeling, because when you're doing this all for [the fans], telling a story for them... you want to do it justice."
"It's wonderful to have all the people online going, 'This is great, this is amazing, I can't wait, thank goodness it's him.'
"It's wonderful, so thank you to everyone out there."
But before we see Cavill as Superman he will be back on the big screen next week in Immortals.
Superman is set for a 2013 release.
