Helena Bonham Carter liked taking on the part of royalty in her new movie The King's Speech.
The British actress takes on the role of the Queen Mother in the latest movie from filmmaker tom Hooper, the movie also stars Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush.
The movie follows King George VI who suddenly finds himself king after his brother abdicates. And Carter admits that she loves playing royalty.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz she said: "You try them on at home otherwise it wouldn't be fun. I certainly would never want to be royal, even though I effortlessly am at times.
"In fact that's partly why I did play it. We could behave outrageously and people would just say, 'Oh they're getting into the part'.
"I've played a few queens recently and I find them really enjoyable. I just do queens! It's enjoyable to put it on and pretend, but then you can take the crown off and throw it across the room."
Bonham Carter enjoyed huge box office success at the beginning of the year with Alice in Wonderland, in which she played the red Queen, which went on to gross over $1 billion at the global box office.
She will be reprising the role of Bellatrix Lestrange in Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows and she has also completed work on Toast, which also stars Freddie Highmore.
The King's Speech is released 7th January.
