Helen Mirren believes that her acting roles have got more interesting as she has got older.
The actress can currently be seen on the big screen in comedy Arthur, which sees her team up with Russell Brand.
It has already been a busy year for the actress with The Tempest and Brighton Rock under her belt.
Speaking to MSN Movies the actress said: "It's wonderful obviously to be young but in terms of my profession sometimes it's quite limiting.
"It's much better now than it was when I was young.
"Even now it's still pretty limiting... it's better when you get older, if you manage to cling on, because the roles do get more interesting definitely."
The actress has mixed and matched her roles in recent year moving from drama such as The Last Station to biopic The Queen and a more action role at the end of 2010 with Red.
She has already completed work on The Door, which is directed by Istvan Szabo.
Arthur is out now.
