Hayao Miyazaki is one of the greatest animation directors of all time and fans of Studio Ghilbli will be delighted to hear that two new movies have been added to their upcoming projects.
The first is The Wind Rises directed by Hayao Miyazaki himself and is based on Jiro Horikoshi, the man who designed the Zero Fighter.
Miyazaki has been behind movies such as Castle in the Sky and Spirited Away and this will be his first directorial outing since the fantastic Ponyo.
Isao Takahata is another of Studio Ghibli's great talents - he was behind Grave of the Fireflies - and he will be back with Princess Kaguya Story, which is based on a folk tale.
But before the release of both of those movies comes From Up On Poppy Hill from Goro Miyazaki while Hayao has worked on the screenplay.
The movie has already been a huge hit in Japan and an English speaking version of the film is expected early next year.
