Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix has taken a record-breaking $12 million (£6 million) at midnight screenings in the U.S.The figure is the most made at the box office for a Wednesday opening midnight run since The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King returned $8 million (£4 million) in 2003.The fifth installment of the boy wizard movie doubled the takings of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the previous film in the series, which took $6 million (£3 million) at midnight screenings in 2005.
