Halle Berry has revealed that she likes to challenge herself as an actress.
The Oscar winner is back on the big screen next year with her new movie Frankie and Alice, which follows the story of a woman who struggles with dissociative identity disorder.
Speaking to MSN Movies the actress said: "I keep standing and I keep trying and daring to take risks."
"I think that's the best thing I can do or anybody can do really. [I like to] challenge myself, not do the same thing twice, seeing how far I can go.
"Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but that's the joy of it for me, taking risks and having your challenges."
Frankie and Alice, which looked for a while may not get a release, is already picking up some Oscar buzz. Berry is currently filming comedy Truth or Dare.
She has also completed work on Dark tide and has Show Addicts Anonymous and The Surrogate in the pipeline.
