Hailee Steinfeld has admitted that getting accent right for her new movie True Grit was a struggle.
The actress has joined an all star cast of Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon and Josh Brolin in the remake of the John Wayne movie.
Speaking to Good Day LA the actress said: "That was definitely something I had to work on," she said.
"I worked with a coach on the material and he was originally from West Texas so he was really familiar with the dialect and accent.
“But my main thing was going through and figuring out what everything meant.
The movie has already been a success and is currently top of the U.S. box office, after toppling Little Fockers.
True Grit is released 11th February.
