Hailee Steinfeld has revealed that she set up a swear jar on the set of True Grit.
The young actress stars in the Coen Brothers’ latest movie alongside Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon and Josh Brolin and tried to curb their use of foul language.
Speaking to the Daily Mail the actress said: "I set up a swear jar and asked Jeff [Bridges], Matt [Damon], Josh [Brolin] - and all the other actors and crew - to put in $5 (£3.17) if they uttered the F-word and a dollar for the rest.
“We raised $300 (£189) for charity."
True Grit is the first movie for Joel and Ethan Coen since A Serious Man and sees them return to the western, a genre which won them a Best Picture Oscar for No Country For Old Men back in 2007.
True Grit is released 14th January.
