Guy Ritchie Happy To Make Good Money As A Director....
Moviemaker Guy Ritchie's family were thrilled when he started making money as a director - because he wasn't qualified to do anything else. The Snatch filmmaker, who is married to pop superstar Madonna, admits he could never have kept a family on the measly $100 (£50)-a-week he was earning up to the age of 27, and was delighted when his first film, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, was a commercial success. He says, "I hadn't made any money other than 50 pounds a week until I was 27-years-old, so I wasn't capable of any other trade that could generate an income where I could sustain a family."Everyone was very happy that I could actually make a living out of this".
