Greg Kinnear has revealed that the movie making process is not all the glitz and glamour that you would expect calling it a 'crapshoot'.
The actor, who can currently be seen in Flash of Genius, said that there was just as many problems and risk working with a established filmmaker as there is working with a first time director.
In an interview with Digital Spy he said: I've actually worked with two or three people who are directing for the first time. It's a crapshoot, but you know what, it's a crapshoot with someone who's been directing for years too.
"There's not one definition fits all for who's going to know how to handle building a movie. Really it comes down to knowing your story and knowing the story you want to tell.
"Marc [Abraham, Flash Of Genius director] worked on this for years before I ever became involved in it. When I read it I called him up and just said, 'Listen, I don't know if you're going to make this or not, but this is the kind of movie that should be made and hats off'."
2008 was a busy year for the actor working on comedy Baby Mama and Ghost Town with Ricky Gervais. But he is perhaps most famous for his role in Little Miss Sunshine, the independent movie that stormed to a Best Picture Oscar nomination in 2006.
