A Green Lantern sequel has been greenlit - and movie bosses have promised the follow-up will be "edgier and darker".
The big budget blockbuster, which starred Ryan Reynolds as the title character, took just $114 million (£70 million) at the U.S. box office earlier this year (11), making less than rival superhero movies including Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger.
But studio executives are moving forward with plans for another installment.
Warner Bros. President Jeff Robinov tells the Los Angeles Times, "We had a decent opening so we learned there is an audience.
"To go forward we need to make it a little edgier and darker with more emphasis on action... And we have to find a way to balance the time the movie spends in space versus on Earth."
