Gerard Butler has revealed that he would love to play James Bond.
The actor has been linked with the role in the past, missing out when the role was re-cast to Daniel Craig.
In an interview with Now the actor said: "I'd love to play James Bond, but it's been said so often, so inaccurately.
"I was in my flat in London, wrestling with a busted shower, and I heard a news report that I was going to be 007. I thought: ‘If only it were true, but I have to fix this shower'."
Despite this Butler has been a busy boy over the last year with Law Abiding Citizen, The Ugly Truth and Gamer under his belt in the last twelve months.
And 2010 looks set to follow the same trend as a whole host of projects are in the pipeline for the Scot.
He has completed How To Train Your Dragon, in which he voices the character Stoick, and The Bounty Hunter, which teams him up with Jennifer Aniston, and both are waiting release.
Coriolanus, which stars and is directed by Ralph Fiennes, and Burns, in which he plays Robert Burns, are both in pre-production.
