George Clooney says that he has become a character actor since he hit 50.
The actor is back on the big screen later this year, as well as behind the camera, with his new movie Ides of March, a movie that he also wrote.
But the actor has delivered some great performances in recent years in movies such as Syriana, Michael Clayton and Up In The Air - regularly making him an Oscar contender.
Speaking to Parade the actor said: "I look at myself on screen and go, 'I don't look like I did when I was 40 - I know that'.
"The people I've respected most in the industry over the years - Paul Newman, for instance. I just loved the way he handled growing old on screen. It's understanding that you're now basically a character actor.
Ides of March is already surrounded in early Oscar whispers as Clooney brings together a great cast that includes Ryan Gosling, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Marisa Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood.
Ides of March is released 28th October.
